    got a weird prob.

    i have a mpg file that i want to encode in vcd (no prob with that)

    the prob. is that i load the file in tmpgenc and encode it , tmpgenc finish ;all ok. tha fact is that the end of the file is missing ???(about 40s)

    when i play the file with ati file player the vids time is 4:18 min.
    but when i play it with powerdvd the vid time is 4:50 min.

    WEIRD!!!!!!!!!

    i have try to open the file in vdub --) error mpg unexpected at the end.

    have try to open with vdub mod --) the vid time 0:42 min

    ouf!!!! bizarre !!! im confused

    what should i do to grab theses 40s missing vid at the end

    need your help please

    Check to be sure you're not setting a source range to encode in TMPGEnc. That's all I can think of.

    i dont think the prob is with tmpgenc settings.

    in vdub and some mpeg player the file is weird too,

    i mean , the prob. is surely in the file but need to know how to grab theses 40 s last to encode it.

    It's a corrupted MPEG. PowerDVD just skips over the damage, as scratched damaged DVD's are common. TMPG barfs like it does on any corrupted file.

    There are MPEG 'fix' tools that may let you re-encode it. You can also try de-muxing/re-muxing it. You may have to cut it at the bad part, then skip ahead some number of frames and cut it again (cut out the bad part).

    thanks a lot gazorgan,

    will try to find theses mpeg fix tools

    when i got some corrupt file , i open it with vdub to see the bad frames but with this file i cannot open it.that's why i ask for some solution :P

    ok have try this:

    demultiplex file : result--) only 42 s of the file is demultiplex ?????

    mpeg corrector result --) no change , the 40 s still missing in tmpgenc or mpeg player.

    please any help , or suggest me a good mpeg repair soft.

    p.s mpeg repair software had no free or trial version .
