    After ripping DVDs, converting the .vob files to mpeg-2 files, and splitting the files into 800mb chunks, both my DVD machine and my DVD software (WinDVD) believe each chunk is only 39 minutes even when they are actually much longer. This happens even when I uncheck the "create standard compliant CD" box in Nero. And this happens when I split the files using either TMPG(mpeg tools --> merge & cut) or DVtool. Same result. Is this inevitable because standard SVCDs at the standard bitrate can only accomodate 39 minutes per 800mb? Or is there a way to write the header so that machines reading the files know how long the clip really is?

    I only get that if I use multiple Mpegs on a CD. Since it doesnt harm anything I ignore it.

    sounds like the first mpg on the disc is only 39 mins. svcd @ std bitrate (VBR) can be up to 1.5 hours per 800mb.
    Corned beef is now made to a higher standard than at any time in history.
    The electronic components of the power part adopted a lot of Rubycons.
