  1. There are a zillion DVD label products on the market. Right now I use a Sharpie pen, but want something that looks more professional, but not a lot of work.

I noticed that Avery makes some clear lables that look nice that you just press onto the disc.

Anyone have some advice for this newbie?

    Thanks.

  3. If you really want to get into it, A user here by the name of The Village Idiot made a guide about how he turned his old lexmark printer into a CD printer. You could check that out at https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=179510

If you don't want to go quite as far, just get one of those label applicators so the label is center on your disk. They are a dime a dozen.

i use dcdata glossy labels with a pressit applicator, but i dont use the pressit software coz its a pain to get it to print the labels perfectly.Instead what i do is i scan or download the disc label then load it into my photo editing software and crop a square around the label so that the sides of the square just touch the edge of the disk label, then save the result.

i have created a template in ms publisher so that it prints the label in the correct place on the sheet of blank labels, all i have to do now is open the template and insert the label (which is saved as a .bmp or .jpg file) and print. The result is labels that fit perfectly on the blanks without losing any of the label or without any unprinted areas caursed by the label being printed off centre.

NOTE : most downloaded labels do not need to be modified with photo editing software as they are usually already cropped correctly so you can just download them and insert them into the template and print them off
