Got an email from Sonic offering newer versions of the MY DVD software. I'm still using the version that came with my Sony 500U DVD writer. Anyone bought the newer versions yet? Is it worth it? Thanks, Andy

I have not purchased the new version but I did download a free update from sony at http://sony.storagesupport.com/dvdrw/mydvd.htm
Unfortunately it did not fix the screwed-up colors that I get when trying to capture with my AverTV card through the program. All other capture programs work (PowerVCR, WinDVR, virtualdub, Ulead Videostudio, etc.) with my card except MyDVD. If any experts can figure out why the colors are messed up (everything looks green and blue) please comment. BTW the update file is huge (~150MB) but it is broken down into fifteen smaller pieces if you are using dial-up. I had to go use a broadband connection in town to get it. I just got it yesterday so I have not noticed a difference yet.
