  1. I have captured a video tape I have onto my computer, and about the bottom centimetre or so is all blurred all the way through the video. Is there any way of cutting out the bottom part of every frame so as I don't have that blurred area? If so what program would I use?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

That's just overscan. :c) Will you be watching it on TV or PC? If TV - leave it, it won't even show.

Great. You should have no problem then. :c) All tvs differ and some "hide" more area than others.

Will you be burning it to a DVD?

If yes, do it on a RW first, and check it out.

  5. I was going to burn it to DVD-R, but i'll try it on DVD-RW first like you said. If there is anything showing still, what program would be used?

Well I see you already have Tempgenc right?

If you go to Advanced - there is a CLIP function you can use.

But any good, basic vid editor can do it.

PS - It is a VERY good habit to get into burning to RW first :c) Saves on coasters - and money - in the long run.

  9. I got it to burn to dvd without too much stuff showing at the bottom. It still had a very very small amount, but nothing to bad.

    Thanks again for the help.

Oh, that's good news then. :c)

    Glad I could help.

Now if you experiment.... play that same DVD on another TV and you'll probably see that 1.) more shows (hope not) or less shows. :c)

One of my TVs moves everything too far to the left. You just never know til you try it.

Thanks a lot for popping back with your results. :c)
