can not load dv avi file to tmpgenc

hi.. I'm trying load transferred video from dv tape(avi type 2) captured via dvio tool into tmpgenc to convert them into dvd format for but\rning but I keep getting error message that file can not open or unsupported
Hoe can I load this dv file to tmpgenc. I checked environmental settings in vfapi and changed the priority or directshoe and also avi vfw reader to 1 and but still no success..help please

Try installing the mainconcept dv codec

hi.. are there any other options.. I can not seems to install the mainconcept dv codec gives me initialization error when installing.. besides its not free. ..

Try the canopus dv codec

The canopus codec didn't work for me. I can't remember why. I did a little diggin with google and found a codec from Sony. It works fine and it's free. The only drawback is that you'll need to invest about a half hour of googling time. I would post a link, but I don't remember where I downloaded the file.

Have you tried to open your video using an AviSynth script? The AVISource command opens up DV type 2 video in TMPGEnc on my system.
