    i have been given a vcd of pictures and they are in dat format, is there any way of converting the dat files back into jpeg format

    1. Convert the DAT file to MPEG using VCD Gear or VCD Easy (under the Tools section).

    2. Convert the MPEG images (which are mostly stills) to a series of BMP/JPG images with Virtual Dub or similar program.
