I have a VCD movie which is actually 5 scenes.
Now instead of spliting the movie into 5 VCDs I was wondring if their is a way to creat a "Virtual" track on the VCD.
Like, on the 25:00 minute will be the second track, 35:00 the third and so on...
I want to do this because it's really annoying wating untill the DVD reachs a certain minute.
So.. is it possible ?
Thanks![]()

Hi!
I think VCDEasy can do it for you, creating "chapters". But it does not work on all players.
I used to split the program in various MPEG files, but my philips dvd player makes a pause from a track (file) to another. Pauses are bad in a movie or show, so I now I use only one track and when whatching think about searching like if it was on a tape. -
IF I understand correctly you want to author with 'chapter points'. Ok, VCD/CVD/SVCDs do NOT support chapter points. They do support entrypoints. These entrypoints function the same way as chapter points on a DVD. That is the << >> buttons will skip you to/from them and you can assign the numeric keypad buttons to each entry point as well.
VCDImager can do this for you. However, VCDImager is a command line based program so most people perfer to use a GUI with it. Popular choices are VCD Easy and TSCV. Make sure you choose VCD 2.0 and PBC is set to on.
