I ran into a new problem today:

I'm taking DV stream footage and converting it to MPEG-1 for general and multiplexing. The video compresses fine, but when it gets to 99% I get:

**ERROR: [mplex] Unable to open file /Volumes/Bertha/Projects/Milk Money:Quality CD/Video Reference Files/MPEGs/mm_6.mp2 for reading.

I am selecting mp2 for my audio format but there ends up being a WAV file in my output folder that disappears as soon as I click on it.

I'm basically left with a movie.m1v and movie.m in my output folder.

    Any ideas?

  2. Those ":" and spaces in your folder names are possibly the cause.

    I had this error too:

**ERROR: [mplex] Unable to open file /Volumes/Sanctuary/Users/felixchou/Movies/audio.mp2 for reading.

There aren't any spaces in my filepath.....help?
    Peace Out

  4. This could mean that the audio has not been encoded for some reason. Please email me the whole output at major4@mac.com and I'll help you.

Uh, I closed the terminal window, should i try again and send you the output?

Btw, there WAS an audio file....except it was just a document file, if I add .mp2 at the end, then it'd be fine....
    Peace Out
