  1. Every time I start up VCDImagerEasy (v.1.0.1, the latest) I get a quick flash of the interface then THE BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH pops up! It tells me an error had occured and I can press any key to return or C-A-D to restart. It then brings me back to the interface with an error message saying that CdrDao.exe Scanbus execution failed, or something like that...

I managed to get a screencap of the quick flash in the beginning:

Then, the blue screen of death, which I cannot get a screencap of.

    Then, when it returns:

What the hell is going on?!! I want to fix this! My OS is WinME by the way.

I downloaded the zip file with both VCD Imager and some freeware burner proggie from this site.Had same problem with blue screen, and eror msg. I think my burner is unsupported....... I dragged and droppede the mpg file anyway...why not??? VCD Imager worked great, and made *.bin images but the burner proggie did not work with my 12x burner. I renamed the file to *.iso and I burned the VCD in Easy CD Creator. Seems to work good on my pute, with ATI VCD player, have yet to test to test it on a standalone DVD, cuz I don't own one. Hope this might help those who can use VCD Imager, but not the burner proggie.

  4. Yea but I want to use the CdrDao app because I heard that Nero doesn't always burn the .cue files correctly and that a program like CdrDao will. What other programs can burn the .cue files or the .toc files cuz i dont want to use Nero. thnx

I tryed running VCDImagereasy on my pute with Win2Kpro, and no bluescreen. I have the burner in my wife's win98 puter though, so I couldn't test that part. I now make the cue files on mine, and copy to hers on the network to burn them. She uses it more than me, burning audio cds.
I did notice that VCDimagereasy makes 4 files , and one of them is named "cue file for Fireburner". I haven't used it, but you might want to look into it. http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/FireBurner/

I've heard good things about it, just never needed it.
When the burner was in my machine, I used to use CDRWin for bin and cue files.

I've got the same error, in WinMe.
It seems that CDRdao has broken my CDrw !
Although all those Linux-lovers says it can't be, I think it is. It all started with a blue screen, then a freeze of the system and finaly I couldn't write no disk any more (tested it in NT4 where cdrDao DOES work - it did in the past).
All it did was writing until sector 6, then it pauzes for a long time and then it tells me I'm having a buffer underrun. "What?" I then shout! My cdrw has about 8Mb cache (normally can write at 16xSpeed easely!!)

Happely I've got still garantee, so just waiting for 3weeks until I can write again.

But this is a leason for me, I never will use CDRdao (neither CDRwin) in WinME again, it leave it for WinNT4, i think it's got to do with the ASPI drivers (cdrdao has to think that your IDE-writer is scsi).

  7. Hmm.. that's weird it must be your burner,I have an old creative IDE burner, CDRwin and CDRdao both work with WinMe for me.

  9. I think lots of people are having the same problem...

    This is what I did

Disabled the burner program that came which VCDImagerEasy (ie delete or rename the CdrDao.exe file)

create your image and burn it with CDRWIN, Its never failed for me yet.....

  10. Aww man that sucks! I don't want to ruin my burner! Well I don't think it will be ruined since I haven't had any serious lock-up problems (yet), other than the one blue screen but that doesn't count because I can easily return to Windows without any other problems.. And Betamax said that CDRWin also messes up so I'm not gonna use that... I guess I'll have to go with Fireburner. Any things I should know about before using this or is it a good program and just go for it?
