How would I go about bringing down the levels of my .mpa audio? Some of my video clips(I've got 6 clips) are louder than others. Do I have to go back to my original .AVI and fix it there, or is there a way to fix it after the fact? Thanks![]()

are they louder in the original avi files, or are they only louder after encoding?
be aware also that mpeg audio isn't standard to NTSC video, so some players may play it back louder or distorted - mine does, so I've switched to encoding most audio to AC3.- housepig

Hey housepig,
It's not louder than the original avi's. It's not quite to the point of distorting, but it's close. Is there a way to bring down the levels of the .mpa file, or can that only be done with an AC3?
The hoops you have to jump through to get a DVD built is amazing. I can't believe there aren't more standardized procedures and formats for DVD authoring. It seems to be all over the map. Oh well, you do what you gotta do....
