    I am trying to make a movie VCD using Nero.
    Nero says the medium is too small, wont fit on 1 cd.

    How can I split the movie in half so it goes on 2 cds?

    Use TMPGEnc

    Under MPEGtools in it, select Merge and Cut, set type to MPEG1 VideoCD, and then do what you have to do to split it to 2 MPEG files. Its pretty easy to use.
