    i have just downloaded what lies beneath and am converting it from avi to mpg using TMPGEnc.

    The program is i cannot convert the video part of the avi and get a message saying that the file cannot open or is unsupported. However, I can load the audio file ok

    Any ideas please

    You probably not got the codec installed for that type of AVI, click your right mouse on the AVI and find out what it is, then check your control panel > Multimedia > Device's > vidio codecs to see if you have it.

    Its probably the Mpeg 4 V1,2,3

    thanx, can u tell me where i get mpeg 4. the video format of the file says

    720 x 480
    233641 Frames
    29.970 Frames/Sec
    95 KB/Sec
    Unknown Format
