I want to convert my xVCD (720x480, 2500bitrate) .DAT files to a DVD-ready mpeg2 file (720x480, 8000bitrate).
I started using SVCD2DVD, but I think it may be the wrong tool. I don't want to trick the DVD to accept the former xVCD mpeg file. Instead, I want to convert it into a proper mpeg2 file as if I was converting from AVI to DVD-quality mpeg2.
Am I mistaken about SVCD2DVD? Is that exactly the tool I should be using? Or is there something else that I should use.
Thanks!
