  1. I have movie files on my computer that are ready to be burned by NERO to DVD. HOWEVER, I don't know how to put TWO movies on one DVD with NERO. I have Sonic DVD to help author two movies on one DVD, but only works with mpg, avi, etc.. Does anyone know how to convert NERO files to Mpeg or AVI, or can you let me know how to put two movies on a DVD with NERO. My vid files are in DVD Video format.

All thanks for any help that is provided.

So, you have vob, ifo, bup files in a Video_TS folder?

Some editing programs can work directly with vobs, but if yours can't it is bascially the same method as "ripping" a DVD.

Look in TOOLS - DVDDecrypter. There's guides that tell you step by step. Skip the ripping part - you have the files already. You just want to edit and re-author.

Or do a search on "vob to mpg". Lots of posts with ways to do it.

  3. hUH ?.

Wot are Nero files ?.Nero doesnt make files ?. Its a CD/DVD burner prog.

Do you mean VOB files ?. If so these already are MPEG-2 files and should be accepting by any DVD authoring program, with some you may have to demux into seperate video and audio streams first though.

  4. The Sonic program will only accept straight mpeg or avi files, not vob, bup, and ifo's. The only way I can think of turning the movie to a mpeg is by actually recording the movie as it plays from my stand-alone dvd player, which I thought is the long way around and might degrade the video because I was recording a movie in play not converting the actual file to mpeg.

I guess I could get a program that does "DVD to MPEG", I was just wondering if i could convert what I already have on the drive and not go thru another long process.

    Thanks fo the resonses

Yes, you can. That what I was trying to tell you. :c) No need to redo it. Have you done a search, here on this site? People have different ways of doing it. So you have more than one choice.

Try the search bar - upper right corner, right on this page. :c) Very handy.

  6. I havnt used sonic but i would of thought it would accept VOB files as they are MPEG-2 files.

Ifo and Bup are just small 'informatio' files so nothing will import them.

I use spruce up which can only accepts Vobs WHEN THEY ARE DEMUXED INTO seperate Video n Audio streams. Have u tried that ?
