    Can somebody sugest best realtime MPEG2 video capture device
    I have quite a number of VHS video tapes, want to convert to DVD

  2. IMHO the best capure device is a Canopus ADVC 100. Do a search on it on this board and you'll find lots of info.

  3. ATI AIW RADEON 7500 or above.
    use at least MMC 7.7 and you need your hard drives NTFS, not fat32.

    Facet Video seems good for removing macrovision and such from an Analog source. About $100 shipped. Just got mine, tested a few movies and so far looks good.

    Canopus makes some really nice hardware mpeg encoders. But I can't get to their site right now. It seem a large segment of the web in unreachable at the moment. Not even google can be reached from where I am.
    Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?
