  1. I have a movie that I need to get rid of the menu. I have just copied the main movie files and use ifoedit to make new ifo files didn't work. I have use dvd decrypter on the dvd-r to just get the main movie but I only get and ifo file and no bup file. Use dvd lab and one of the vob files seems to have a different frame rate than the rest of the movie and it is the middle of the movie. I just need to get the vob files to the point where I can make a compatible dvd-r.

    It will solve your problems.

  3. Used DVDShrink but it wont open the ifo file.

Rip all the files off your DVDR to your harddrive using DVD Decrypter

then use DVD Shrink and open the VIDEO_TS.IFO ( I Think its that one )

This suggestion. DVD Decrypter ripped the files that were the movie and the only ifo file was VTS_01_0.IFO. And DVD shrink wouldn't open it. When I decrypt the VIDEO_TS.IFO DVD Shrink does nothing.

By default DVD Decrypter selects the movie only files , some of the VOBs and other files.

you need to select all the files, (Edit/Select All or Ctrl A) and rip them all to your harddrive.

then use DVD Shrink to open the VIDEO.TS.IFO file

  9. I'll Try That

  10. Just for clarification. Are you saying that if you put the DVD in the drive and start DVD shrink and hit "open disk", wait for dvd shrink to examine the disk then hit "back up" that DVD shrink does not then create a folder with vob, ifo, and bup files in it?

I have never had to rip a disk to my hard drive before using DVD shrink.

DVD Shrink won't do anything after Open Disk. It just show an open folder and nothing else. Same when I have ripped the to the hard drive.

When the files are on your hard drive and you use the "open files" button in DVD Shrink do you see the .ifo files in the folder? Does DVD Shrink "do nothing" before or after you click on one of the ifo files?

  13. What movie are you trying to do and what version of DVDshrink you using? So far I never had a problem doing anything normal, though I have done some abnormal experementing with errors, but no normal person would be doing that

Trying to author a 12gig dvd then shrink it to fit a 4 gig disk
But hey, I finnaly got it done :P

  14. Actually the movie is Matrix Reloaded and it hsa the menu on it but for some reason it isn't linked right. Whenever you choose to play the movie it just freezes up. And in order to get it to play you have to just press the number 1 on the remote to go to the first chapter. This is for a stadnalone dvd player. But on playstation 2 it just stops at the menu and won't go any further than that. I gave a copy to a friend and it won't work so I am trying to fix it for him.

  15. Where did you manage to get your hands on that from ? The earliest release date for Matrix Reloaded I've seen is 07/10/2003...

  16. You mean its not released yet oops !! well I managed to find a copy and I don't think we are allowed to post that type of info here. Sorry.

  17. No, you're not - copying discs for your friends, even if you own the original, is a violation of copyright and a wrist slappable offence. I won't even go there as far as copying bootlegs is concerned...

  18. So I guess no one has any suggestions as how to fix this other than demuxing and reencoding?

  19. Buy the original when it comes out in a couple of weeks time ?

  20. You have admitted to copying a bootleg movie.

Therefore you are in violation of the forum rules and are being issued with a warning and the thread is being locked.
