My crystal ball says you burned the disc with Nero 6 and tried to play in power dvd. Does it play okay in a stand-a-lone ?

Solution - Go back to Nero 5.5 or use another burning program. Copy2DVD is stable and easy to use.

Er, why bother to use Power DVD to play back, when Nero 6 has its own player built in. i can't say I've extensively tested it, but it seems to work OK, both on pre-recorded DVD's and home burnt DVD's (burnt with Nero 5 and 6, and Ulead Videostudio). Does it work on Nero's own player, or is there a conflict beteen the two?

  8. I used to get that error with my old DVD-ROM drive - it found it virtually impossible to play back recordable media regardless of manufacturer.

Try playing it back on another drive - like the recorder, maybe, and see if that works.

That needs to go in the Grumpy People forum.

Besides what would you have told the original poster ?

I think ricky did what I did. :co Read 3 of yours in a row.

If I'd only seen one, I would have laughed, but after 3 I thought you'd had a terrible, miserable, horrible day or got some really bad news.

Glad to know you were just being Foo-y.
