  1. I'm looking to buy some media and I want to know which are good. I have seen these at FutureShop and I'm wondering if they are any good and which is better

    Pine 25-Pack 4.7GB 2X DVD-R Media for 69.99CAD
    e3Works 25-Pack 4X DVD-Rs for 59.99CAD

    BTW. I'm using a Pioneer 106D

  2. You could take a chance on them but I would bet they aren't that good given how much FutureShop charges for popular brand name discs. You might want to try www.blankmedia.ca. His prices on Ritek G04s are better than those unknown brands.

  3. I don't really want to order online unless I can't find anything in my area to buy.

What I'm looking for is a spindle of DVD-R, or DVD+R, that is good quality and an OK price.

I'm located in Toronto in the Bloor/427 area.

I've been to most of the Best Buys in the GTA and none of them sell spindles of blank DVD media. I did buy a spindle of Memorex +R 4x media from Futureshop for $60 for 25. Until tomorrow (the 25th), Best Buy has the same media in pack of 5 for $10 a pack.

  6. I bought a couple of 25 packs ($39.99cnd each) of the "eworks" 1-4x DVD-R's and they work fine at 2x on my Pioneer 104. I have burned them full 4.36 and they seem good.
I guess if they change their supplier you never really know.

  7. thanks for the suggestion bluntman72.

I got the memorex spindle yesterday and they work great. They even work on my old standalone dvd play which is very picky
