Seriously, if you know nothing you could see a very simple video tutorial on the process on the Microsoft website. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/moviemaker/videos/default.asp
This will give a rediculously simple overview.

You could then move on to video tutorials for specific products such as Ulead VideoStudio http://www.ulead.com/learning/vs.htm. I found these to be informative.

I am still as a new as someone can get. All I can say is start reading. Once you have basic understanding of what is going on, the people in this forum can be of great help.
