I'm looking for a quick way to get info from an mpeg file, like resolution and frame size, similar to what G-spot gives for AVI's. Virtualdub-mpeg works fine, but it takes too long to load the file as it parses. Any ideas?

  2. I use AVICodec, it works on almost any media filetype, except stuff like Real Player....

check for a freeware tool called Mpeg Properties - I found it in the Tools section, works pretty well.
