I found DVD Studio Pro 2 is very picky about the video files to import.
Most of the .m2v and .mpv files that ffmpeg produces are not compatible with DSP2. I found the only format that DSP2 can digest is the high-res DVD preset with exactly 720x576 (PAL) size and "mplayer" as decoder.
The "QuickTime decoder" setting will crash the application and make a coding within ffmpeg impossible.
Otherwise a nice product which needs still a lot of work.
Eagerly awaiting version 0.0.8e!
