  1. How do you store your CD-Rs / DVD+-Rs?

    I favor the big 120-200 Travel CD Binders. But I also use Burlington CD/DVD Envelopes if I dont have room in a binder, or if I'm taking an episode to watch somewhere.

    But how about you? What do you use?
    Ejoc's CVD Page:
    DVDDecrypter -> DVD2AVI -> Vobsub -> AVISynth -> TMPGEnc -> VCDEasy

    DVD:
    DVDShrink -> RecordNow DX

    Capture:
    VirualDub -> AVISynth -> QuEnc -> ffmpeggui -> TMPGEnc DVD Author

  2. For traveling I think your idea of the binder is a good one. That's even how I store my Computer Cds (backups) at home.

    I have the nice padded leather look ones. Hold about 120 disks.

    As for DVDs I have been using thinline jewel cases. I got them for like $15/100. I like them for space, like when the daughter goes to grandma's for the summer, easy to pack. Full cases take too much space.

    Now I think I will start using normal Black DVD cases though. Price is not bad, and they are thick enough to put the title on the edge so you can find the one you want easily. Like when sitting in a bookcase. Plus the disk is in the dark.

    Thin lines I liked, but you have to look at the front of the case or disk to find anything. Not bad when you only have 10, but for 100 or more that's alot to sort through
    Also the light shines through the case. Don't know if it actualy matters, I dought it normally. But if the disk and case is left laying out near a window and the sun shines in, well that could possibly harm the disk?

    I like DVD cases. With those labeling programs, even your home-made movies look commercially packaged and produced.

    I like the binder cases (I use Caselogic) for short term backups and stuff, but I don't like the idea of anything touching the disc surfaces in long term storage. So, for archival storage I use the slim jewels, but I've noticed that they have been getting a lot thinner and cheaper lately (very thin plastic), so they don't close as tightly, or hold the disc as well as they used to. Only the Imation slim jewels seem to have held up in quality, though I haven't tried the TDK or Fuji branded ones (I have some old TDK slims that are great but I think they sell different ones now). Because of the poor quality of the thin jewels I'm thinking of going back to full-sized jewel cases, possibly the kind that hold 2-4 discs each. I think Meriline is also selling Amaray-style cases that hold 4 DVD's each. These look interesting too.

    Big Black leather look-a-like binder. Holds 200+ discs, but heavy, probably weighs 10-12 pounds.

    I am a big fan of the standard DVD cases. I got 100 for £8.50 in the UK. What a deal.
