We need a new thread now ...

WHAT DO YOU PUT ON YOUR PIONEER DVD PLAYER TO KEEP IT IN PLACE WHEN PULLING THE TRAY TO KEEP IT OPEN?

    What do you guys think?

I think that's a splendid idea! Or even make a poll for the most popular objects on top of your Pioneer DVD player. And then, after the voting procedure is completed, the winning object should be included in a dedicated Sticky .

  3. My DV333 has not had a tray opening problem since I thoroughly cleaned it with compressed air...It's opening and closing as it did when it was new....

For that I'd have to remove my lamp first. Oh, I'm so lazy. Eventually I'll do that though. Where exactly did you blow inside your player? Was the tray in closed or opened position? And how long were you performing this blowing job? Sorry, had to say it!

Anyway, I'd be curious to know, since it worked for you. Thanks.

  5. I had the tray in the opened position... I also had the players case removed.... I then blew compressed air into the tray opening.... I did this for about 20 seconds

Then I placed the compressed air can inside the DVD chassis and blew air out of the tray opening... I also did this for 20 seconds...

I don't want to solve the problem.

I have too much fun yelling and bitching at it now.

I would miss that if the tray suddenly started to behave itself.

Then what fun would I have?

I mean the tray not working is like an old friend by now you know

  7. My Pioneer has been working flawlessly since cleaning....however the last few days it's starting to punk out again with the tray behaviour.... The tray now works properly 80% of the time. The other 20% of the time it will open and quickly close....

Maybe it's time for another cleaning ....
