  1. Whats the point of creating an mpeg file that will fit on one CD if I have to re-mux audio to it? Why do the templates I download only allow you to encode the video? Is it just me or does this seem rather pointless and stupid. Maybe I'm the stupid one. Let's be helpful, try not to flame me if I've overlooked something.

see the radio buttons on the bottom right portion of TMPGEnc screen?

it says "Stream Type' up there

the kvcd template by default selects ES (Video). Just change to System (Video+Audio) and there you go!

  3. Yeah... I get that...I guess I should have worded the question better, I guess what I'm asking is...is there a reason it isn't set to mux the streams?

I use KVCD method a lot and many of us that perfer to have bbmpeg do the mux'in for us. Some are just not satisifed with the end results of using TMPGEnc for audio. So as far as why..it's a matter of your personal taste......I use HeadAc3 to convert to mp2 audio and set up my bitrate to 128 or 112 depending the the movie, this saves space on the CD for more video, which in turn gives a little better quality. Hope this helps if not I would suggest you ask the same question on the www.kvcd.net site and one of the many users will be happy to assist.
