  1. What is the difference between an 'audio' CDR and a data one - apart from the price?

Can CDR/CDRWs marked as 'for audio' be used in a PC to burn a VCD?

  2. i believe that 'audio' cdrs are meant for the standalone burners that you hook to your stereo. and data cdrs are for PC only.

so, no you can't use an 'audio' cdr on your pc to make a vcd.

    did i get that right?

No unfortunately you got it wroung! In a computer you can use either kind. Apparently on a standalone audio-cd recorder you can only use thew audio type.

  4. The only difference between the audio only and computer CD-R's is that the audio only has a code at the begining of the CD-R that the stand a lone must find before it can start to record that is why the regular computer CD-R's won't work in these recorders, the stand a lones will not be able to read the regular CD-R's.
