does anyone know how can i save A LOT of space when saving an .avi file in vdub? because i edited a 2:20 min. video and then i saved it as an .avi, the filesize of this vid is 1.40gb, so i want to know what should i do to conserve a lot of space after editing a certain video.

Click on video menu ensure 'direct stream copy' so it will save it in the same format (divx or whatever).
Or choose 'compression' on video menu to pick another format. -
Or if you are encoding the edited video to mpeg, there is no need to save it at all you can simply frameserve it to your mpeg encoder.
