  1. i did a search, but all i found was converting windows media DIVX to VCD. ihave .wmv files that i need to edit in quicktime... or imovie etc. what can i do?

    try to load them into Mplayer for OS X. If MPlayer will play them, then Mencoder will re-encode them to a Quicktime usable format.

    If MPlayer wont play them, you're SOL, and will have to use Virtual PC or a Windows box.
