    i keep reading that there exist firmware updates for my lg super multi dvd burner, but can never seem to find firmware updates on any LG website... what gives?

    If you want to get the firmware directly from LG, you have to search under the CD-RW heading. The first one on the list will be the A300.

    Go here and choose the device drivers link. Then under CD-RW you will find it.
