    does anybody know what to choose in the gop sequence option, in panasonic encoder.

    For NTSC VCD standard MPEG-1, leave it as the default (the top choice).

    For PAL VCD standard MPEG-1, choose the third one from the top (I think). You should get the numbers 12-12-3 (or 12-12-4, I can't quite remember).

    The GOP settings aren't really related to the video system being used.
