Hi,
I have a DivX movie. I extracted the audio to wave with VirtualDubb. After that, I encoded with TMPGEnc Plus. Looking on TMPGEnc I noticed that the time to encode seems to be very long. About as 22 hs for a movie with 1h 30 min.
My computer: Athlon 1.2 G, 256 Mb DDR Ram.
Is this the normal time to encode?
Thanks

If you are encoding it at a bitrate so as to fill a DVDR, then that time is believable. Are you applying any filters as this slows things down a lot. Also, the motion search precision method you use has a big effect on encoding times.
