  1. I have tried a couple different methods with DVDshrink and the results are always horrible. First I tried getting my movie directly off the DVD, then I tried putting the movie on my hd with dvd decrypter. Either way, when I shrink the movie down to fit on a dvd5 the video is real slow and "choppy", so is the audio. This happens with both version 2.31 and the new beta 3.0 of dvdshrink.
What am I doing wrong?? Help!

Did you watch the results on your computer before you
burned it. ? Or did you just burn with NERO and play the disk ?

  3. Yes, I viewed the files on the harddrive with powerDVD and they were equally horrible!
The uncompressed movie folder, ripped with dvddecrypter and before using dvdshrink, look fine.

I use the combo of DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink and have NO problems with quality. I rip ALL FILES on the DVD with DVD decrypter, not just the movie files. I use raw disk in DVD Shrink, which allows you more control over which files are compressed. I don't compress the movie files more than 2... I remove foreign languages and all extra audio files by un-checking them. I compress all extra footage (like deleted scenes and director comments) to still pictures. This should remove enough to fit onto a DVD5. Try this and let us know if it resolves the problem. If it doesn't, then tell me what movie you're backing up so I can try.
    Hope this helps..
