Hi all,

I am new to the dvd game and have been reading and learning here for a while now. Thanks to the great people and guides here I have authored my first DVD from a video capture in dvd format.

Now the problem,

The first time I wrote the dvd it was done on a Memorex DVD-RW disc just in case it turned out crappy. TMPG did a great job and the dvd turned out great. I rewrote the dvd to a -R to keep it.

Now I am trying to erace the -RW on my Toshiba SD-R5002 with the erace option in tmpg and it keeps telling me that the drive is not ready and the green light flashes about 16 times and then stays lit.

This RW disc will play fine in my Apex dvd player but won't play or erace in the dvd-rw drive.

Has anyone seen this problem before? If so is this a hardware or media issue? Is there a better program to use to erace discs?

For the hell of it I tried to explore the disc in windows and it told me that the cd in the drive was not formatted?

Anyone have this problem? Once again, thanks for the great forum and guides you do here. It makes things really easy for a newbie to get started!
