I just Made a svcd it plays good then the problem starts the sound not in sync half way though the movie. I used dvdx to make it into the svcd is there a better programme out there that i could use (user friendly) OR can some one tell me what i can do in dvdx to help me achive a better quailty movie with the sound insync

I've had DVDx do the same thing.

Redoing the same DVD all over would sometimes fix it, other times had to rip the movie first, but would work thereafter.
Try again, you're only wasting a CD, not a DVD.

Do you convert directly from DVD with a large RAM cache?

Hey, I'm having the same probs with DVDx-only I'm trying to convert it to mpeg1 (I have vcd easy to change to vcd).

No matter what buttons I toggle on input/output, I can't get DVDx to get the audio synched correctly on any of my DVDs.

I have Windows XP-was wondering if maybe I don't have all the ASCP (or whatever they're called-I have no idea) layers.

dvd2svcd. there is a guide from leebear that walks you through an AVI to SVCD. DVD to whatever is easy too
