qshartle is right. You will have a REALLY hard time doing anything on 9.2

IF your machine can run 10.2 its worth the update. Check the specs at apple.com but basically if you have g3 with at least 256megs of ram it should load.

you can get it on ebay these days for really cheap (well less than new price that is.)

then its easy, and there are LOTS of apps.

  4. UNTIL you upgrade though, there is a fairly simple way, there is a port of VCDGear for OS9 that worked very well for me while I was still in the Dark Ages, simply set it to convert your MPEG1 or MPEG2 files to Toast-ready VCD and you're set, if you're working with AVI files, there's a version of DivX Doctor which will convert them to .MOV files which VCDGear will accept. Of course, if you don't have Toast, you're um, toast.
Seriously, though, upgrade just for the stability of OSX!!!

I believe also that quicktime will export to mpeg1 (VCD) for toast to burn. I think that works with os9. It seriously has been SOOOOO LONG since i used OS9 i dont even remember
