ok i dont have a problem with making VCDs. but i save episodes of "The Family Guy" and 220megs a piece doesnt make for good for hard drive space. so what i want is to shrink theese bad boys to 50 to 80 megs a piece for archival purposes. anyone know a decent program to shrink these files?

How do you plan to archive them? VCD, DivX, burn to plain on CDR, etc? That is you say you want to shrink them, but do you plan to leave them on your HD forever?

well, u have plenty of options. first being recompress to divx with a lower bitrate, 80megs sounds reasonable. i am on MSN as plasma_9@hotmail.com or AIM as Plasma Nine. contact me if u need more help.
