  1. At the moment I am using ULead DVD Movie Factory 2. I find it quite limiting, I have also tried TMPEG DVD Author, Dont like it and again, find it limiting.

What I am looking for is a program that will let me create a fully customised menu, exactly the way I want it. rather than using a pre built template.

    Are there any suggestions?

For example, I want to create a menu that wil let me specify my own background, allow me to simply set up a small list (play /movie/all etc. Scene selection, and other features I may wish to add), then set up a separate menu for chapter/scene selection etc.

At the moment I find this is not possible.

If there is an application around that will let me do this, please let me know.

    Thanks.
    Yours,
    Beev

I use DVDit! PE. I've even written a guide for it at www.lordsmurf.com (under the AUTHOR guides). Go see what it can do by checking out the guide.

Just purchased Adobe Encore DVD, and really like it. It can do great motion menus, and integrates fantastically with Photoshop for great-looking menu creations.

  5. Ill check into that Lordsmurf. I was actually checking your site out this morning, but was unable to add it to my favourites, there may be a script error.

Just thought id let you know.

I have looked at the tools section on here and I like the sound of the following:

    Adobe Encore
    DVD Menu Studio
    DVD-Lab

I have also looked at DVDit. Whats the difference between PE and SE?

    Thanks.

  7. All come's down to what you want to do. for me I like

but keep in mind that ever program might not be for you. I like TMPG easy to use fast. I use it only for Satellite dish work. If I was making wedding video's or high end stuff. It would not be my first pick.

Consider the upgrade to Ulead DVD WORKSHOP.

It offers both Wizard-driven and extensive manual menu customization features:
