    It is possible but it is NOT all that simple. It really isn't difficult either but that depends on how much you already know. Either way it does take a long time unfortunately.

    The best thing to do here to to RIP the DVD in FILE MODE and select just the main MOVIE and run the VOB files through DVD2AVI so it spits out your audio (most likely AC-3) and a D2V project file.

    or just drop the mpeg and converted wave into vegas and select ntsc output (or 23.97 film), keep aspect ratio , flicker remove (optional) , select 2 time over sample and "good" or best quality and render to a mpeg and new ac3 file ...
