At the recommend of Lord Smurf (nice web site!) and others I tried this program with a test clip recorded as SVCD spec using ATI MMC 7.5 for 1 minute. When edited, it unsynced the audio and video! I was under the impression from all the glowing reviews that wouldn't happen. Have to go back and try some other caps but did check the original (unedited) cap and it's in perfect sync. Gah! Not this again! This is why I stopped capping and was waiting to get a standalone DVD recorder. 4 years and a ton of headaches just go away...

  2. It has to be a problem with your mpeg. I have used womble mpeg2vcr on literally hundreds of files and never had a single problem.

Ran some tests and they all say that the original is in sync ( offset is "0"). Still working on it. As I said, I used M2Edit Pro previously and I could cut the video but when it went to combine the parts, I would get errors like wrong header info (the first part would run as normal but all other parts would not show correct time from the first edit point). I want to get back into capping for Usenet but I'm running into the same problems that had me stop 6 months ago...

You didn't set IVTC on the capture did you ?

Womble is known to be unable to edit mpeg2 with pulldown flags in it.
