    Can this work? I have a Sci Atlantic Explorer 8000 DVR and am soon to be buying a Sharp or Panasonic DVD recorder. My question is this: (1) If I record something to the DVR from tv can I then burn it onto a DVD using one of the above DVD recorders?

    Yes I do it all the time with a Panasonic e30 and the explorer 8000.
