Update of Nero won´t qork

I got Nero 5.5 with my AOPEN CDRW drive. But after update to 5.5.10 it won´t let me burn DVD on my new PIoneer 106 drive. It says that it can only burn on the drive on which it came.Althought there is an option for adding a SERIALNUMBER.

Anybody can give that?

That's because it will only work with the drive it was intended to - the Aopen. I had the same problem when I used Nero that came with my Lite On and bought a Pioneer dvd writer, had to get a new version of Nero.

You got an oem version of nero with your drive. Basically you can only use it with the drive it came with.

SORRY for asking a serialnumber. I thought that I had the right to use any update of version 5.x

I didn´t mention to get an illegal copy, I just thought it was OK.

Anywasy I just have bought the version 6 and it works fine now.
