    I've just finished a trial version of Ulead Video Stud and before buying wondered if anyone could say how this stacks up against Sonics Movie Studio 3. I'm looking for something to edit home made digicam film and prepare for DVD authoring using DVD workshop. Also a slideshow feature would be nice. Any suggestions please ?

    Check out Sonic My DVD 5. Packed with some nice new features. Very stable, easy to use, consistent results each time. Also has the slide show feature you want.

    I would avoid the ulead products, take a look at Vegas Video 4, it's a more solid editng program and offer A LOT more features.
