I captured a video using Pinnacle's Studio DC10 Plus I then converted this video to MPEG and saved to a CD-RW as I was going to change the harddrive, my problem is that now I want to edit this video clip the picture has gone from a horizontal rectangle to a verticle rectangle with black lines down either side of the picture, any ideas on how to get this back as it was.
Although I am computor literate this is not the case with video. After reading some letters on this forum I think it may be an aspect ratio problem , but of course I am only taking an uneducated guess .Any help would be appreciated .Thanks

computer is square pixels - video tends to look more like a square than tv's which have non square pixels ..

No in media players playback screen the image is an verticle Rectangle as opposed to a horizontal rectangle as it was before.
