im reencoding the audio to 48khz instead of the original 44.1khz. asking ffmpegx to encode a .MP2 file from a MPEG2 file.

Under video, "Passthrough" and unchecked the "Encode Video box".

    Under Audio, chose .MP2, 48000 and 224.

This usaly makes a new .mp2 file, but i now get this Applescript Error

'The variable theCommand is not defined. (-2753)'

this only happens in version 0.0.8c, works fine in 0.0.8a

I get the same error the same way when I want to convert audio from a mpeg to make an mp3.

    Hit button... get same error.

Ok, now I tried other codecs just for fun... until I got a message that only said "File Error" but no Applescript error.

So I went back to try encoding it to mp3... and I got the same File Error... but no second window with the Applescript error.

Sorry. I introduced this bug and I'll fix into 0.0.8d which is due extremely soon.

This seem a different issue. Can you try this command in terminal and post results:

    ls -l /usr/bin/tcprobe
