  1. I have a number of VCD's that have Thai language on them, how can I replace Thai with English? I read an earlier post which mentioned using VCD imager program and changing data files, I got the program and that was it , not very user friendly and no help files. I have only been delving into the workings of dvd and vcd for about 1 week so it is beyond me at the moment.
    Any help would be appreciated.

VCD have permanent subtitles (if any), so they can't be removed, if you don't want to crop out the lower part of the image.
They may be "blurred out" using some filter (logo-away) and reencoded, but that will apart from the blurring also reduce quality of a already low quality format.
However, if you want to add another subtitle, reencoding is the only way...

Oh, by language you may mean audio too! In that case you can extract the mpeg using VCDGear, then demux the mpeg to one m1v (the video) and one mp2 (the audio) using TMPGEnc. Encode your English audio to mp2, then multiplex your old video (m1v) with your new audio (mp2), and pray that you will not have sync problems!

Don't expect too much when it comes to the help files and friendly GIUs of freeware applications!
But VCDGear is pretty straight forward.
