    Hi,

Is this conversion a possibility in FFMPEGX? If it is, please tell me the steps to take to do this conversion. If not, are there any other options I have in encoding to VCD from this format on a Mac?

    Thanks,
    wolfwood87

  2. Please send me a link to a test clip and I will check.

    Hi Major,

I have the file but I am not sure how to:

    1. Cut a test clip of the file.

    2. Get this test file to you. Do you have an iDisk? If you do I could upload it to that with your permission. I don't have a website or any webspace to my knowledge. I could send it to you via iChat if you have the program. I don't mind how the transfer takes place, but I am not sure how to do it.

    Thank you for your reply!

  4. If you have a fast line you can just turn on "Internet sharing" on your system prefs and email me your IP address so as I can download directly from your Shared folder.

I had the same results as Schlumpf when I tried the OGM to VCD conversion in FFMPEGX v0.0.8b Do you still want to try to work with this file Major? If yes, then I am still not sure how to cut a test clip of my file. It would be great if I could turn this movie into a VCD and watch it on my DVD player....

    Thanks to everyone,
    Wolfwood87

Yup, same for me: No way to split it. Could send the whole 701,1 MB file though No problem, I'm on a fast line...

  8. Share the file with Internet sharing and email me your address to major4@mac.com.

  9. I was able to convert your .ogm file to SVCD and CVD. Unfortunately VCD conversion is not possible for now. I proceeded as follows:

    - Open the .ogm file
    - Select CVD (or SVCD) quick preset
    - Enable the "Decode with mplayer" option
    - Select audio track = 1

Thanks for the update and great news regarding the conversion, Major!

However, I am having a little trouble with the settings, so if you could please tell me exactly which settings you used I would really appreciate it.

    Thanks,
    Wolfwood87

Excuxe me, I tried to encode a few ogm files, but even using Major's method, I still can't do a proper download: The program tells me that the file I want to encode cannot be found
