I am new at burning dvd's, but have a question. I took an mpeg 2 file and burned it to a dvd +r media. It plays fine on my computer but will only play a few minutes on my hitachi stand alone. I reburned it and it played 7 minutes but each time it hangs on a frame. Then the only button that will work is the eject button. My neighbor has brought over several +r disk that he has burned with his puter and my hitachi plays them fine. It seems the only difference is he used studio 8 to burn the disk and I used intervideo windvd.

ANy ideas.

More often than not, problems like this are caused by bad media. Try using the same brand of media that your neighbor uses.
