I picked up a panasonic DVD-CV47 5 disc changer last night . I thought it might be nice to be able to have many discs ready to go . I mainly use DVD+R media so I have a lot of backups on them . The box said DVD-R compatible , but I have been able to get +R to play on all the players I have . These players include a Panasonic DVD-RV31 that is three years old , and it plays -R , +R , and +RW . This player will not play +R , or +RW . It just sits there reading the disc until you stop it . The strange thing is most of the time when a player cant play a disc it tells you NO DISC , or CANNOT PLAY THIS TYPE OF DISC , or a message to that effect . I believe that because of Panasonics entry into the DVD recorder market with the -R alliance they have made this player able to recognize and not play +R/RW . This is just my belief , so I am open to all suggestions why this modern player will not play +R/RW when my three year old one from the same company will .

I'm going to play around with some burning programs and see if I can fool this sucker , but I've got too much invested in +R so its still going back . No more Panasonic anything for me .

Try to make an ISO image from the VIDEO_TS folder using ImgTool Classic
and burn it with DVD Decrypter.
They say its more compatible (?)You stop me again whilst I'm walking and I'll cut your fv<king Jacob's off. -

I have a Panasonic S35, which is a current DVD player sold just about everywhere, and it plays everything. DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW even VCD, SVCD, and CVD. In fact, I use more DVD+R media than anything else, since there are better deals on 4x media locally. BTW I have a Sony DRU500AX.
I burn all my DVD's with either Nero Express 5.5 or DVD Architect.Burn Baby Burn
It's a Disk-o Inferno -
Riddle me this , if the current single disc Panasonics play +R/RW why wont the five disc changer play them ? Just curious because I already have a nice single disc player ( JVC S500BK ) . This player will do VCD , XVCD , SVCD , XVCD , DVD -R / -RW / +R / +RW , MP3 , and JPEG . I want a compatible changer .
