go to www.memtest86.com and download the same.

You can probably get there from Mushkin's ad above.

Down the page left hand side you will see Memory Test, click, will take you to a description, read, click link, you'll get to memtest86 .

Download, make a floppy and run, go as deep as you want.

I would reccommend you read the whole page of advice and instructions.

I've tried memtest. It didn't work for my system. Said that memory was bad, and it isn't. But try it anyway.
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?

    Village,

Yeah, the directions do make that clear.

If it works at all, at least it would give you a reason to take it to a show to ask a memory vendor if he would check it for you.

I don't know about your area, but we have them monthly, and the vendors will check them for you, although most have begun charging a buck a strip, peanuts, if you ask me. And, those same vendors are probably the best to buy from, as they are there every show and will work with you.

I returned DDR, gotten another brand/clock, still wouldn't work, swapped again for SD when DD wouldn't work with my board. (Dual format)

    Cheers,

    George
