  3. Hey Foo:

Telecine may not be a file format but what kind of player can I find to play movies with the telecine frames in them? I'm also looking for a player to play good cam or blue group.

I've seen these before - they are .avi files, with that listed in the titles, correct? As in, filename.goodcam.avi? Or filename.telecine.avi? If so, then it sounds lke you just don't have the correct coded to play the files. Have you downloaded gspot from the tools section? That should tell you what codec you need to play the files.

    Yeah, right

It is probably in PAL too. That would be 25 frames per second to the un-initiated. Sounds like you got some learnin' to do. Read the Faq's.

Give him/her the benefit of the doubt - maybe they are someone's "home movies", if you know what I mean

At least no titles were mentioned...

  10. A good player you may want to try is the Philips DVD726. https://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers.php?DVDname=philips+dvd726&Search=Search It can play raw MPEG2 files, which may be as close to what you are trying to get as you can.

For an explanation of the 'Telecine' process you are refering to you can go to www.vcdquality.com and click on any of the phrases under the 'Type' column.

ALSO: Just remembered...The KISS DP450 will play raw Divx/Xvid files....depending on how much you are willing to spend this player will also save you any re-encoding.

    http://www.kiss-technology.com/templates/side.asp?level=1&pid=411 ok..so they updated, the DP470...or 500.
